ARTEMIS

Assessment and Reliability of Transport Emission Models and Inventory Systems

Introduction

ARTEMIS will develop a harmonised emission model for road, rail, air and ship transport to provide consistent emission estimates at the national, international and regional level.

The European Transport Emissions Review Group (ETERG) has been formed as part of this project. ETERG includes representatives of the EU and Member States, and provides a convenient avenue for the transmission of data and information to and from the project and the national representatives.

ARTEMIS is closely linked with the project PARTICULATES - Characterisation of Exhaust Particulate Emissions from Road Vehicles, coordinated by LAT, Greece.

The ARTEMIS consortium includes 36 of the leading organizations involved in research on transport emissions from 15 countries.

The project is structured as 13 interrelated workpackages. Each of the workpackage leaders is a member of the project coordination committee. To ensure a good collaboration with PARTICULATES, LAT are also represented on the project coordination committee.
