We are looking for experienced traffic engineers with a desire to broaden their experience overseas.  You will bring UK best practice in urban traffic management and control to a rapidly developing city - Abu Dhabi.

Working as part of an international team which will oversee the migration to a city-wide signal control system, you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the current traffic control system, both working with and advising local staff to maintain safe and efficient traffic flow.  There will be opportunities to lead and manage a team of operators, and to manage network improvement schemes.  Effective training of junior staff will be key to the success of the project.

Ideally applicants will have a minimum of five years experience of urban traffic control in the UK, and will have a solid background of traffic engineering skills.  You will be familiar with Urban Traffic Control systems and UTMC.  You must be able to work closely with the team and communicate effectively.  Foreign language skills would be beneficial, though not essential.

This international assignment will be for a minimum of 14 months with the possibility of an extension for up to 3 years.
