We are looking for experienced Traffic Engineers with a desire to broaden their experience overseas. You will bring UK best practice in ITS engineering / urban traffic management to a rapidly developing city.
Working as part of an international team you must have demonstrable skills in design, operation and deployment of Traffic Solutions.
Key skills we require:
- In depth understanding of ITS systems, network infrastructure and architecture with experience of both Urban (UTMC) and Inter-urban (NMCS2) environments
- Design, implementation and operational expertise in a range of traffic control systems
- Ability to develop and evaluate innovative traffic control solutions for congestion and network management
- Expertise in Traffic Control Centre operations and technology
- Specification, development and delivery of VMS equipment working closely with both client representatives and equipment suppliers
- Co-ordination and supervision of scheme installations with experience ranging from small ITS system upgrades to large widening schemes
- Testing and commissioning of networks, systems and equipment both locally and within control centres
- Installation, configuration and operation of a range of ITS equipment including CCTV, vehicle and incident detection systems
Applicants will have a minimum of five years experience of traffic engineering / ITS technologies, applications and deployment in the UK, and will have a solid background of traffic engineering skills. You must be able to work closely with the team and communicate effectively. Foreign language skills would be beneficial, though not essential.
This international assignment will be for a minimum of 14 months with the possibility of an extension for up to 3 years.
