TRL's experts are the only specialist vehicle identification experts in the country and are highly experienced and qualified in imaging.
TRL's Video Investigation Team provides an expert service for the analysis and interpretation of image evidence. We have the knowledge necessary to consider the effect that an imaging system will have on the resulting image of a vehicle. We regularly provide advice to both police forces and defendants where vehicle ID is necessary, or has been made.
Our team is experienced and qualified in both the technical aspects of image evidence and in vehicle collision investigation. In combining these skills the team analyse and calculate vehicle and pedestrian motions during incident sequences.
CCTV recordings can also offer useful information about many other relevant factors such as traffic signal phasing and road user behaviour which can form the basis of expert comment or advice.
