innovITS ADVANCE to feature in The One Show

innovITS ADVANCE will be featured on the BBC One Show on Thursday 23rd August. The item will highlight some recent research conducted by Southampton University, which investigated the use of "machine learning" technologies into the optimisation of traffic control. innovITS ADVANCE was chosen because of its ability to undertake a traffic control experiment on a grand scale. 

innovITS ADVANCE provides a safe, comprehensive and fully controllable purpose built 'cityscape' test track environment which enables clients to test, validate and demonstrate new innovations through 'plug and play' simplicity. The track enables the precise specification of road conditions and communications access and denial for the development of ITS innovations without the constraints of excessive set up costs and development time.
