TRL has over 60 years experience in the development and application of signal control at every conceivable type of junction and network the world over.

TRL can also provide a design serviced for signal installations from feasibility stage to managing the implementation, through to scheme commissioning. 

TRL has been commissioned by numerous local and national authorities to apply our knowledge not only to newly commissioned junctions but also to assess and recalibrate as necessary existing junctions and networks.

As the designers and developers of MOVA and SCOOT we have the expertise and knowledge to undertake the assessment or design of new sites utilising these methods of control.  The works we can undertake are:

·         The design of a SCOOT network including detector locations;

·         Development of UTC plans;

·         Validation of SCOOT network after implementation.

The efficient operation of new traffic signal installations is imperative in any signal design scheme.  TRL has the expertise and staff with the required specialist skills to progress a new scheme design from feasibility to commission, whether this is for simple to complex junctions or pedestrian crossing facilities.
