If the answer is yes to both of these, then you could be just who TRL is looking for. Based at their Crowthorne offices, TRL's car driving simulator is used to conduct research studies into driver behaviour, including driver distraction, driver impairment, advanced vehicle technology and variations to road layout and signage. Currently, TRL is looking for drivers of all ages to join their database of trial participants.
Data collection using the simulator is mostly conducted during the day, although occasionally, will occur during the evening or at weekends. Visits to TRL typically last 1 to 3 hours and may include several drives on the simulator and questionnaire completion. You may be invited to participate in several studies per year and you will be reimbursed for your time and travel expenses.
