OBTAINING INFORMATION AND DATA FROM MOLASSES
The Molasses database is now suspended, an alternative has been developed by GreenSafe called UK-MoRSE, which should include more up to date data. More details can be found on their website, www.greensafe.co.uk/morse.html
A criticism of the MOLASSES project in the past has been that it has been difficult
to get information out of the MOLASSES database.
In fact the MOLASSES team at TRL Limited has provided
information from MOLASSES on a number of occasions to individual Local Authorities who have contacted TRL
Limited requesting information.
But this service has not been
publicised as much as it should have been. Hence the construction of this web-site.
We are happy to answer queries from Local Authorities about the data held
within the Database, and you can send in your query via the form at the bottom
of this page.
Many different items of information can be obtained from MOLASSES. Analysis can
be carried out on nearly all the items shown on the form. Look at the example
input form to help you decide
what you may wish to get from MOLASSES.
