There are four of ways of submitting information to MOLASSES. These are via
either an ACCESS Database, 'on-line' data entry form, paper data entry form or
through direct data transfer. Details of each method are described in a WORD document
called instructions for entering
data. You are advised to read this document
first before deciding which data entry method suites you.
The preferred method is via the Access database since it is the most flexible
and allows you to retain a copy of your data in the same format as the main
MOLASSES database.
Using the Access Database
An ACCESS database with a front-end data entry form has been especially
designed for getting information into MOLASSES. The front-end form guides you
through the information you need to supply, and how to submit the completed
information.
The Access database can be downloaded from this page.

Please note: The Access database contains a number of MACROs that may lead
some firewalls to reject it. If this happens, please contact Ryszard Gorell directly (see
below). We will then send you a copy through the post.
Using the 'On-line' version of the data entry form
A Word 'On-line' form has been produced for entering data into MOLASSES. This
form is designed to be completed on screen. (Confusingly, in WORD, 'on-line'
means that the form contains text-boxes, tick-boxes and drop down lists.) The
form can be downloaded from this page.

once the form has been completed, the most efficient way of
sending the information, is to attach the file to an email.
Using the paper version of the data entry form
A standard Word form has been produced for entering data into MOLASSES. This form is
designed to be printed-off before being completed. This can be downloaded from
this page.

Using direct data transfer
Schemes that are already in a Local Authority database can usually be electronically
transferred into MOLASSES. Please contact Ryszard Gorell as indicated
above for more details.
