Aggregates in Road Construction - Update (2006-2008)

This issue of Current Topics includes over 70 abstracts of reports, conference papers, books and journal articles which focus on the qualities, performance, specification and testing of aggregates used in road construction. Examples of the specific topics covered include testing for skidding resistance, angularity and durability; the use of steel slag, recycled glass and recycled bituminous materials; modelling of deformation behaviour; the mechanical properties of bituminous mixtures; and the sustainability of aggregate supplies. These items have been selected from the material added to the Transport Research Laboratory's Library Database between 2006 and 2008. Much of the relevant English language published literature from the UK, USA, Australia and Europe is included; some of the non-UK literature is included courtesy of the OECD International Transport Research Documentation (ITRD) database.
