Streetworks and reinstatement update (2001-2003)

This issue of Current Topics includes over 60 abstracts of reports, conference papers, books and journal articles which focus on the reinstatement of the highway after cable-laying, pipebursting and trenching. While some abstracts relate to the UK scene and the New Roads and Street Works Act and associated codes of practice, other abstracts consider pavement repair techniques, new surfacing methods, defect reporting and the practical organisation of streetworks in the UK and elsewhere. These items have been selected from the material added to the Transport Research Laboratory's Library Database between 2001 and 2003. Much of the relevant English language published literature from the UK, USA, Australia and Europe is included; some of the non-UK literature is included courtesy of the OECD International Transport Research Documentation (ITRD) database.
