Transport Information and the Internet Update (2002-2006)

This issue of Current Topics includes over 70 abstracts of reports, conference papers, books and journal articles which focus on the wide variety of transport information on the internet including congestion warnings, weather warnings, public transport timetables, real time passenger information, parking availability, freight applications and journey planning. Also included are abstracts on in-car internet facilities, transport information available on mobile phones, and abstracts looking at the technology behind these features. These items have been selected from the material added to the Transport Research Laboratory's Library Database between 2002 and 2006. Much of the relevant English language published literature from the UK, USA, Australia and Europe is included; some of the non-UK literature is included courtesy of the OECD International Transport Research Documentation (ITRD) database.
