Urban Traffic Control (UTC) update (2001-2003)

This issue of Current Topics includes over 70 abstracts of reports, conference papers, books and journal articles that focus on testing, trials and case studies of urban traffic management and control systems. Many abstracts concern the introduction of more advanced computer software in order to provide dynamic control of integrated transport systems, driver information and better management of exceptional traffic events. These items have been selected from the material added to the TRL Library Database between 2001-2003. Much of the relevant English language published literature from the UK, USA, Australia and Europe is included; some of the non-UK literature is included courtesy of the OECD International Transport Research Documentation (ITRD) database.
