Local transport planning update (2000-2002)

This issue of Current Topics includes over 65 abstracts of reports, conference papers, books and journal articles which focus on local transport planning. Citations include articles on the introduction of five-year local transport plans, the legislation involved in implementing policy, local planning and the environment, sustainability in local planning. Also included is a look at individual plans for cities and regional planning. These items have been selected from the material added to the Transport Research Laboratory's Library Database between 2000 and 2002. Much of the relevant English language published literature from the UK, USA, Australia and Europe is included; some of the non-UK literature is included courtesy of the OECD International Transport Research Documentation (ITRD) database.
