Shopping centres and transport update (1998-2002)

This issue of Current Topics includes over 70 abstracts of reports, conference papers, books and journal articles that focus on shopping centres in out of town and city centre locations. Specific topics covered include parking, trip generation, congestion, the effects of pedestrianisation, retail deliveries, planning policy and accessibility for the disabled. These items have been selected from the material added to the TRL Library Database between 1998 and 2002. Much of the relevant English language published literature from the UK, USA, Australia and Europe is included; some of the non-UK literature is included courtesy of the OECD International Transport Research Documentation (ITRD) database.
