TRANSPORT IN DEVELOPING COUNTRIES: PLANNING AND INVESTMENT - UPDATE (2007-2010)

This issue of Current Topics includes over 65 abstracts of reports, conference papers, books and journal articles which focus on the planning and financing of transport infrastructure and services in Developing Countries. Specific topics covered include investment by public/private partnerships, subsidies, public participation, maintenance, and the planning of transport by road, rail and bus in urban and rural areas. The use of modelling approaches is also included. These items have been selected from the material added to the Transport Research Laboratory's Library Database between 2007 and 2010. Much of the relevant English language published literature from the UK, USA, Australia and Europe is included; some of the non-UK literature is included courtesy of the OECD International Transport Research Documentation (ITRD) database.
