VEHICLE OPERATING COSTS - UPDATE (2006 - 2010)

This issue of Current Topics includes over 65 abstracts of reports, conference papers, books and journal articles which focus on the identification, calculation and management of operating costs for all forms of vehicular transport. The main topics covered include vehicle design; efficiency of different fuels; ecodriving; and more efficient management of journeys. New vehicle technologies aiming to reduce carbon dioxide emissions as well as operating costs are included. These items have been selected from the material added to the Transport Research Laboratory's Library Database between 2006 and 2010. Much of the relevant English language published literature from the UK, USA, Australia and Europe is included; some of the non-UK literature is included courtesy of the OECD International Transport Research Documentation (ITRD) database.
