ACCIDENT BLACK SPOTS UPDATE (2006-2010)

This issue of Current Topics includes over 70 abstracts of reports, conference papers, books and journal articles which focus on identification and analysis of hazard locations (including the use of geographical information systems), accident rate prediction, and accident reduction through road safety management and road improvements. Some items are included on in-vehicle warning systems for accident black spots. These items have been selected from the material added to the Transport Research Laboratory's Library Database between 2006 and 2010. Much of the relevant English language published literature from the UK, USA, Australia and Europe is included; some of the non-UK literature is included courtesy of the OECD International Transport Research Documentation (ITRD) database.
