this report describes a visit made to curitiba, brazil in april 1974 to advise on a new public transport system. the municipality are introducing a transport system designed to be an integral part of the urban development of curitiba. the basis of the system is a number of bus-ways which radiate from the city centre and which will carry frequent express buses. the envisaged transportation system is described together with the thinking behind its organisation and the likely prospects for its future development.
