ECO Stars Fleet Recognition Scheme Expands in Mid-Devon

This scheme, managed by TRL's partners Transport & Travel Research Ltd (TTR),  is designed to encourage fleet operators (van, truck, bus and coach fleets) to join and to adopt operational and environmental best practice, to help maximise efficiency and reduce their environmental impact, leading to improved local air quality and carbon reduction.

Now for the first time, ECO Stars has expanded to include taxi and private hire vehicle operators so they too can gain recognition for their part in improving local air quality in Mid Devon through running their fleet efficiently.   To find out more click here.

At its heart, ECO Stars is a fuel management and operational efficiency support programme, designed to help operators reduce fuel consumption, thereby reducing operating costs and also, very importantly, reducing vehicle emissions and thus improving air quality. As well as giving operators recognition for current best practice and ongoing support, it also gives local authorities a direct link to road passenger and road freight operators - industry sectors which are notoriously difficult to engage.  For more information on ECO Stars, click here.
