The Ian McCrae Travel Award

Date: 18/8/2010

Earlier this year, TRL was sad to announce the death of Dr Ian McCrae, Senior Technical Manager of the Energy, Emissions and Air Pollution Group in the Centre for Sustainability. Ian was an internationally-respected air quality scientist.

Now, the Institute for Air Quality Management has announced the launch of a new award which has been established in memorial to the life and work of Ian. This annual award will be given to support the early career development of air quality professionals. A £1000 grant will be used to enable the winners to attend an air quality conference in the UK or abroad by covering conference, travel and accommodation costs.

Full details of the award and how to apply can be found at www.iaqm.co.uk.   The closing date for applications is the 30th September.
