New territory for TRL Software, as it heads for South Africa

Building on a well-established relationship with Aurecon, TRL has announced that Aurecon South Africa is to commence selling TRL products, predominantly focusing on TRANSYT, ARCADY and Streetaudit.

This move follows the successful Streetaudit training and auditing conducted by TRL in Johannesburg last year, for a new bus rapid transit development.

Currently, Aurecon re-sells TRL Software in Australia and New Zealand. The two companies have worked closely together since 2008, as highlighted by the modelling of the congested Hoddle Street area of Melbourne, for Victoria Roads, where Aurecon selected TRANSYT 13 and PERS (Pedestrian Environment Review System) as the best tools for the job.

Gavin Jackman, TRL's Head of Traffic and Software said: "This is a fantastic opportunity for TRL and having such a good relationship with Aurecon only enhances the possibility of successfully establishing TRL Software in South Africa as the software of choice. TRANSYT is already a truly international product, used by hundreds of consultancies and local authorities around the world, while ARCADY, is the world's leading software for the assessment of roundabout capacity, delay and accident risk."

Aurecon South Africa has numerous offices across South Africa and is involved in a range of projects from the provision of basic services in rural areas, to the design of multi-modal transportation projects in metropolitan areas.
