TRL - Creating the future of transport

Producers

Note that Producers may now apply to be part of the pilot exercise.

As a producer of Tyre Derived Rubber Material the Certification Mark is your assurance to customers and specifiers that the products have been produced in accordance with rigorous standards required by industry and the Environment Agency.

By complying with the Quality Protocol, producers will be certain that the tyre-derived rubber material they produce will cease to be waste and can be used without the need for waste management controls. Waste management controls are not required from the point at which the tyre-derived rubber material is produced to the standard required by the Quality Protocol. Further details relating to the legal position can be found here.

All certified products carry the following Certification Mark:   TDRM Recycled Tyre Product Certification TRL

Certification can only be granted by Certification Bodies which are suitably accredited by UKAS and who operate the Tyre Derived Rubber Material Certification Scheme.

Downstream products, such as those wholly using input material from TDRM Certified producers, may carry the following wording but must not carry a certification mark:

Produced using tyre derived rubber materials from certified sources.
