Aerospace conference is first in the Middle East

Aerospace conference is first in the Middle East

Date: 4/3/2010

The emergence of new airlines over the past few decades has brought the importance of professional aviation skills training to the fore, according to Alison Weller, managing director of F&E Aerospace.

"This is why we are offering a platform for airlines and training providers to come together and plan the way forward for the industry in this region," said Miss Weller.

Her comments emerge as the inaugural Aerospace & Defence Training Show (ADTS) was opened at Dubai's Airport Expo by His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, president of Dubai's Department of Civil Aviation Authority, chairman of Dubai Airports and chairman and chief executive of Emirates Airline & Group.

ADTS is produced by F&E Aerospace in collaboration with Halldale Media Group.

The two-day conference and exhibition will include speakers from the Egyptian Aviation Academy and Saudi Aviation Flight Academy speaking about pilot training programmes and airline representatives from Dragonair and Emirates.

The conference will give the region's airlines a platform to discuss the latest training practices with international and local experts, according to Andy Smith, president of Halldale Media Group.
