British Transport Police Authority announces 5 new members

Five new board members have been unveiled at the (BPTA) British Transport Police Authority, with the hope that they will serve to increase the organisation's effectiveness.The five individuals will begin their posts from September and the term will last initially for four years.
Stella Thomas, an experienced rail passenger representative, will be standing for travellers in Wales. Catherines Crawford, former Chief Executive of the Metropolitan Police Authority, is to be appointed to represent rail passengers.
Together, Andrew Pollins, Dominic Booth and Mark Phillips will be representing the interests of service providers. Mr Pollins is Director of Finance for London Underground and rail, Mr Booth is the Managing Director of Abellio Transportation Group and Mr Phillips is the Bid Director for National Express' Crossrail bid.
"The calibre of these new appointments is extremely high and I look forward to seeing them bolster the work of the authority, particularly when representing those rail passengers," said Rail Minister Simon Burns.
