Codeshare between Etihad Airways and ANA

Date: 5/3/2010
Etihad Airways' codeshare with ANA comes into service this week, offering their international customers the chance to fly to five major Japanese destinations, Tokyo, Nagoya, Sapporo, Fukuoka and Osaka, according to a news report.ANA will place its two-letter "NH" code on their flights between Abu Dhabi and Nagoya from the end of March while Etihad's "NH" code is being used on the ANA operated flights between Nagoya and Sapporo and Fukuoka.
"As well as launching services to Nagoya in February and Tokyo in March, this codeshare agreement with ANA will enable us to offer international connections to a broader local market," said James Hogan, Etihad Airways' chief executive.
The codeshare will also give Japanese travellers easier access to Etihad Airways' network of 60 destinations.
The collaboration between the two airlines also applies to frequent flyer miles. Members of both ANA Mileage Club and the Etihad Guest program will be able to earn and redeem miles on flights across both networks.
