One motorist who was stopped was found to have no licence, 50 people were caught not wearing a seatbelt when behind the wheel and seven were seen using a mobile phone while in control of their vehicle.
In addition, several cars were discovered to have illegal tyres, window tints or dangerous parts, with VOSA issuing immediate prohibition notices to four individuals whose motors were found to be not fit or safe to be on the road.
PC Tony Bagshaw, of the Glapwell Safer Neighbourhood Team, said: "This was a fantastic joint effort to tackle unsafe driving, dangerous vehicles and criminal activity."
VOSA is responsible for improving the safety and roadworthiness of vehicles by ensuring that drivers comply with set standards.
