A new honours scheme has been designed that will guide drivers towards the UK's most trusted motor dealerships.According to UsedCarExpert.co.uk, many motorists continue to get a "bad deal" on their used car because they are not going to a trustworthy source, encouraging it to come up with the scheme that it hopes will prompt dealers to "raise their game."
This will see them both improving the standard of the cars that they sell, in addition to their operating practices.
Editor of the website Matthew Tumbridge explained that the resource analyses the prices of 200,000 cars every month and that he is surprised how many are "incredibly expensive".
"We've come up with a fantastic new Five-Star Dealer Award scheme that honours best customer practice and fairly-priced stock among Britain's car dealerships," he explained.
By meeting the criteria for the website's three-star and four-star honours, dealerships will be in with a chance of gaining a Five-Star Award.
In related news, HPI, a firm which offers HPI checks, recently warned consumers not to take undue risks when buying a used car from a private seller in an effort to avoid the recent VAT increase.
