EcoVelocity offers 'unique' test drive experience

Drivers will have the chance to check out some new eco-friendly motors at this year's EcoVelocity event.

It will take place from May 5th to 13th at the ExCeL centre in London.

Visitors will be able to test drive some of the latest low-carbon vehicles, with big names like Honda, Nissan, Peugeot and Citroen - among others - all showing off what they have to offer.

A 3.5-mile test drive road will be set up to complement the main stage, which will offer presentations, debates and lots of information about hybrid and electric vehicles.

EcoVelocity organiser Giles Brown said the event's "unique offering and facility will allow visitors to take almost back to back test drives, giving motorists the opportunity to make direct comparisons."

This is the second year the event has taken place and sponsor EDF Energy will also be on hand to demonstrate some of the latest home-charging technology for electric motors.
