England bus passengers 'least satisfied with reliability and cost'

Reliability and value for money are aspects of bus travel passengers are least satisfied with, new statistics have revealed.According to the data released this week by the Department for Transport, passengers were most satisfied with safety and security, and staff service.
Less than three-quarters of passengers said they were satisfied with bus reliability in England this summer, the figures reveal.
Overall satisfaction with bus services remained the same as the previous quarter at 82 per cent.
Bus and light rail passengers fell between July and September this year when compared to the same period in 2008, with numbers falling by 2.6 per cent.
A more considerable drop was seen in Metropolitan areas, with 6.2 per cent less people using buses and light rail in summer 2009 compared to 2008.
The smallest drop in passenger numbers was seen in London, where bus and light rail use decreased by 0.3 per cent.
Meanwhile, bus and light rail passenger numbers fell by 6.9 per cent in Scotland and Wales in the same period compared to 2008 figures.
Other statistics released by the Department for Transport also revealed a small decrease in local classified road considered to be in good condition between 2006-2007 and 2008-2009.
