Eurostar experiencing positive 2009

Eurostar has experienced an increase in the amount of tickets sold in quarter three of 2009.Year-on-year sales are up by 6.8 per cent at the company, which provides a high-speed rail link between the UK and Europe.
Ticket sales at Eurostar between January and September 2009 totalled £504.9 million.
Richard Brown, chief executive of Eurostar, said: "Today's figures show that despite rough times, people are increasingly realising the benefit of travelling with Eurostar."
He called these individuals the "Eurostar Generation" - people who have experienced significant changes to the way they work, play and live.
Nearly seven million people have travelled on the train service since the start of the year.
Eurostar began operating a service between the UK and Europe on November 14th 1994 and has helped British holidaymakers and businesspeople enjoy trips to the continent ever since.
Earlier this month, the train company's website launched a trip planner to help vacationers make the most out of their holidays.
