EuroTra to discuss transport issues at winter meetings

The European Transport Training Association (EuroTra) is to host two events in London discussing some of the major transport and logistics issues currently affecting the continent.On Thursday December 1st, 26 European and Canadian experts will come together for the EuroTra Winter General Assembly.
They will cover topics such as the impact of different types of driver training, as well as driver shortage and retention.
This event will be followed the next day by the EuroTra Expert Forum, during which key speakers will talk about urban deliveries.
Some of the experts at the gathering include Natalie Chapman of the Freight Transport Association and Glen Davies of Transport for London, who will focus on the Freight Operator Recognition Scheme.
The 2011 EuroTra Safety and Innovation Award will also be presented to Peter Larner of Essex-based fuel distributer Suckling Transport, which has been recognised for its use of driver performance data.
EuroTra, which was established in 1990, said the enterprise has created a "targeted programme worthy of industry recognition."
