Geneva 'hosts world's most fashionable motor show'

Date: 24/2/2011
Geneva is to play host the world's most fashionable motor show in March, according to one commentator.David Wilkins, writing for The Independent, explained that while the Swiss city's Salon International de l'Auto is frequented by a whole host of industry executives, it can also make a fun and reasonably-priced day out for British motor fans keen to catch a glimpse of new up-and-coming vehicles.
He said: "It's one of the most curious, long-running anomalies of the international motor industry. Switzerland, a country with a negligible history of car-making, hosts what is still probably the most fashionable motor show in the world."
Mr Wilkins added this year's event - which opens to the general public on March 3rd - will feature a whole host of new models from the likes of Jaguar, BMW, Mercedes, Land Rover and Aston Martin.
The 81st International Geneva Motor Show will run until March 13th and will also offer workshops, accessory displays and a whole host of other attractions.
