Engineering work is scheduled to commence for 28 projects scheduled for over the holiday period.
Improvement work is due to start on platforms, drainage, passenger and renovations to track infrastructure on December 24th.
The company said the work should be done by early-morning on January 4th.
A Network Rail press release stated that London Overground will run up to 8 trains an hour.
The work is being undertaken as part of the £326 million upgrade to the London Overground rail network financed by Transport for London, Network Rail and the Olympic Delivery Authority.
Andrew Munden, route director at Network Rail, said investment plans for the London Overground network were crucial to Network Rails plans to improve railways in the capital.
"The project will provide vital additional capacity for the Olympic Games and help meet growing demand on the line," said Mr Munden.
He also predicts ridership passenger numbers will increase by a quarter in the next seven years.
