New motorcycle helmet 'is saving lives'

Date: 20/9/2010
A new motorcycle helmet that gives wearers a view of the road behind them is saving lives, it has been suggested.According to the Daily Mirror, the Reevu MSX1 helmet gives riders eyes in the back of their heads.
It contains a small mirror in the top of the visor upon which the view behind the wearer is reflected, so he or she can see the road by looking up at the rear-view mirror.
The news source stated the device has already "saved the lives of hundreds of customers", who have written to Reevu to say thank you.
Graham Steele, chief executive of the firm and creator of the helmet, said the idea originated from technology he worked on in the 1980s to transfer messages to oil rig divers.
Last week, Pendle Today reported police officers in Lancashire advised motorcyclists to take care while riding and wear the correct safety gear.
