Date: 30/5/2013
The (DfT) Department for Transport has unveiled a new resource for teachers and parents as part of its THINK! initiative.Road Safety Minister Stephen Hammond launched the fresh tool yesterday (May 29th), with a range of materials being made available for teachers to use in road safety lessons.
"THINK! education resources are already highly regarded, but we wanted to make them much easier to use in road safety lessons," the Minister said.
"This new online resource will be used by teachers across the country to give children the skills and knowledge they need to stay safe on the roads."
The aim of the new package is to unify education materials in one location, with a variety of different subjects being covered.
What's more, the resource is designed to suit all ages, with children from early years level to teenagers expected to benefit from the new-look education scheme as it is introduced to the classroom.
