Peugeot unveils new diesel hybrid

A new diesel-hybrid car has been unveiled by Peugeot at the Geneva Motor Show.The automaker launched the 908 in Paris in February, but this marks the first time the hybrid version has been on display.
According to Peugeot, the motor is set to play an integral role in its environmental strategy for this year by boasting HYbrid4 technology, which combines diesel power with electric.
Kinetic energy that is created when a driver brakes is collected and stored and this is then automatically sent to the rear wheels from the lithium-ion batteries it has been kept in to help boost acceleration.
It has also been designed to comply with all of the latest racing endurance rules.
Set to open its doors to the public tomorrow (March 3rd), the Geneva Motor Show is now in its 81st year, with the majority of the world's leading carmakers due to be in attendance.
