Date: 22/12/2011
Renault has revealed which of its UK dealers will be selling its new electric vehicles (EVs).The French manufacturer has produced four motors of this kind and they will be available from 21 sites up and down the country, including those in Manchester, Leicester, Newcastle and Poole.
Sales specialists at these dealers will be able to offer consumers advice on purchasing an EV and provide guidance on the environmental factors involved with running one.
The first of Renault's eco-friendly motors - the Kangaroo Van ZE - has now been released and each showroom will have a trained ZE demonstrator to show customers the benefits of the van.
Managing Director of Renault UK Thierry Sybord said: "With a full range of four fully-electric models set to launch in the UK in less than one year, we have high hopes for our ZE range."
Mayor of London Boris Johnson is one person who could welcome the move, as he recently received the Motor Industry Public Affairs Association's annual chairman's award for his dedication to promoting EVs.
