Date: 18/4/2012
The all-electric Zoe supermini from Renault has been on show today (April 18th) at the EV & Low CO2 Fleet Show.Taking place at Silverstone race track in Northamptonshire, the event showcases a range of new ideas and vehicles within the energy-saving sector and is free for fleet managers to attend.
Renault's Zoe will be displayed as a static exhibit and costs £13,650 plus £70 a month for a three-year battery lease.
Top Gear described it as a "decent-looking" vehicle that is half the price of other motors in its class.
Among the other low-carbon vehicles on display are the Peugeot 208 supermini - which has one petrol and three diesel engines - and the Peugeot 508 RXH.
Managing Director of Fleet World Ross Durkin said he is thrilled at the number of manufacturers that have "recognised the significance of the event by giving UK premieres to some of their key models, several of which aren't even on sale yet."
He added that the number of people registering for the show has also exceeded expectations.
