Road safety issues have been raised by emergency services in Bath and north-east Somerset.Officers from the force worked with firefighters and paramedics to highlight the issues of staying safe when behind the wheel.
A mock road traffic collision was set up in Bath city centre to warn motorists of the dangers of drink-driving.
Fire crews cut a casualty out of the car in the life-like situation and the driver was breathalysed by police.
The initiative was part of a scheme that will run throughout the summer months to make sure people stay out of harm's way.
Superintendent Geoff Spicer remarked: "Operation Relentless highlights the work we carry out every day all year round responding to the concerns of people and helping make them feel safe and be safe."
West Midlands Police recently launched a drink and drug-driving campaign to warn individuals of the consequences they face if they drive while under the influence.
