RoSPA launches upgraded website

Date: 5/3/2012
The Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) has upgraded its Advanced Drivers and Riders (RoADAR) website in a bid to try and reduce accidents on the UK's highways. As well as a Twitter feed and online shop, the site enables people to read the latest RoSPA press releases and a RoADAR blog.
There are 50 RoADAR groups up and down the country and the domain hopes to show how drivers and motorcyclists can benefit from joining one of these organisations.
It is aimed at all road users, whether they have been motorists for many years or have only just passed their test.
Head of Road Safety at RoSPA Kevin Clinton said: "By becoming a RoADAR member you are making an important step towards reducing road accidents, improving not only your driving standards, but your knowledge and skill in the process."
Earlier this year, the group described Christmas 2011 drink driving figures as disappointing after they showed 7,124 people were arrested for this offence in December.
