Sydney's public transport network set for brand overhaul

Date: 18/4/2013
Buses, trains, trams and ferries in Sydney are set to be united under a single brand logo which takes inspiration from the likes of those seen in London and Paris.Staff across the numerous modes of transport will wear different coloured variations of the same uniform, while signage and stations will be completely overhauled to make the network more distinguishable.
Transport Minister Gladys Berejiklian unveiled the design earlier today (April 18th), and also explained that 1,800 staff are set to undergo a fresh round of customer service training in a bid to improve passenger experience.
"This is the beginning of a new era where sitting in an office on the station all day is out, and helping the customer and being proud of working on the railways is in," she said.
Responsibility for operating Sydney's train network is set to be split between two companies from July 1st, with Sydney Trains and NSW TrainLink running services in the city.
