TRL launches TRANSYT Online

TRL Software has launched a new online version of its internationally recognised signal timings solution TRANSYT.

TRANSYT Online is now available to engineers in Holland due to a pilot programme in Deventer co-funded by the Dutch Municipality of Deventer and Provence Overijsse.

It means optimised Signal Plans can be sent to on-street controllers for frequent retiming, while the tool offers a range of other features such as default logic for faulty detectors and the storage of historic flow data for trend analysis.

Furthermore, TRANSYT Online boasts regular scheduled signal optimisation, quick and easy timing deployment, a full audit log, a web-based interface designed for operators and short-term prediction modules.

TRL stated that it hopes to soon have the technology available in the UK.

In the meantime, interested parties can visit the TRL stand at Intertraffic, the traffic management event set to be held in Amsterdam from March 27th to the 30th.
