TRL sees strong demand for ARCADY 8 software

Date: 13/3/2012
There has been strong demand for TRL's new ARCADY 8 software. The program combines ARCADY and PICADY in one interface and is now being shipped to UK users working on the design or redesign of roundabouts.
It allows them to assess the capacity of roundabouts, examine delay and accident risk and features the Autotrack Junctions link as standard.
A new Priority Intersection Module provides PICADY functionality, which enables people working on an intersection to practice alternative layouts.
ARCADY 8 also includes the Entry Lane Analysis model, as this allows users to analyse the type of queues that are likely to form at each entry lane on a roundabout.
The software will be on display at stand 11.619 at Intertraffic later this month. The event takes place in Amsterdam from March 27th to 30th and will include over 800 exhibitors from 45 countries, making it the world's most authoritative traffic technology trade event.
