TRL Traffic Management Solutions expanded

The range of Traffic Management Solutions software products offered as resells by TRL (the Transport Research Laboratory) has been expanded, thanks to STREAMS from Transmax.

Motorway, tunnels and incident and event management are some of the things the product incorporates, alongside real-time passenger information, driver data, business intelligence and ancillary system interfaces.

Transmax is the leading Australian provider of Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) that are designed to help road agencies cope with traffic congestion.

It has been operating for 30 years producing ITS for state and local government agencies.

Gavin Jackman, TRL's Head of Traffic and Software, said STREAMS has already proven itself after being successfully deployed in several major Australian cities.

"From what we have seen [of the ITS solution] to date and the quick relationship we have built with Transmax we know this is a partnership that can go far," he added.

Mr Jackman noted that visitors to the forthcoming ITS European Congress in Lyon between June 6th and 9th will be able to visit the TRL stand to see a rolling demonstration of the product.
