Vauxhall increases sustainability efforts

Date: 8/6/2010
Vauxhall is taking steps to ensure drivers of its vehicles have every chance to improve sustainability and limit the impact that the company's cars have on the environment. The manufacturer has confirmed the introduction of a new ecoFLEX service, which is designed to ensure that all vehicles are running as smoothly as they should be to help ensure that fuel consumption remains as low as possible.
The service checks a range of items on each car, paying particular attention to the issues that can increase fuel consumption, such as running a vehicle with under-inflated tyres.
Other checks are made on the air conditioning system and engine, to ensure that everything is running as smoothly as possible.
Manager of Vauxhall MasterFit Andrew Curley said: "No matter what car you have, regular servicing plays a key role in maintaining its efficiency."
He added that the new ecoFLEX offering allows Vauxhall owners the chance to ensure that their car is as efficient as possible, helping to keep carbon footprints to a minimum.
Drivers can further improve their sustainability by adopting efficient driving techniques such as not accelerating or braking hard.
