Date: 6/1/2012
The Freight Transport Association (FTA) has launched the latest edition of its Yearbook of Road Transport Law.However, the 2012 edition is particularly significant, as it is the 50th edition of the resource, which offers advice on transport legislation.
The latest publication includes new operator licensing rules, as well as details on the introduction of alternations to agency worker regulations.
It has also been updated clearly and concisely with changes to conspicuity markings for new vehicles and has been compiled by a team of road transport legislation experts.
The FTA described it as an "indispensible guide" to the sector that is full of "essential information designed to keep operators fully aware of all aspects of road transport legislation."
Details on health and safety issues and other relevant matters are also included.
The organisation recently welcomed the government's decision to reduce red tape in the transport sector and claimed the removal of regulations regarding Statutory Off Road Notification is a good move.
