ICE and TRF Fellows Lecture

Date: June 24th 2013
Venue: Institution of Civil Engineers
Brief Description:Registration is now open for the annual ICE and TRF Fellows Lecture, taking place on Monday 24 June 2013 at the Institution of Civil Engineers, London.
This year's lecture, 'Embracing Uncertainty in Maintenance and Renewal of Transport Infrastructure,' will be delivered by Professor Marios Chryssanthopoulos, University of Surrey.
Professor Chryssanthopoulos will review advances made in understanding the response of deteriorating infrastructure assets subjected to ever higher load intensities and environmental aggressors. He will illustrate the advantages of design and analysis with uncertainty modelling, and will explore the role of large but often incomplete datasets made available through structural health monitoring. The importance of viewing performance prediction under uncertainty as a means of promoting innovation and creating flexible asset management processes will be emphasised.
Visit ice.org.uk/trf to register and for more information.
The lecture is also available to watch online, either live with the opportunity to ask questions, or later at a more convenient time. Register here.
