ITMA aims to increase and spread scientific knowledge about reducing traffic crashes, injuries and fatalities. The world congresses are therefore covering all areas of Traffic Medicine and its associated disciplines. Worldwide most of the harm results from motor vehicle traffic- therefore traffic medical contributions almost address the traffic on land. Additionally we also want to focus on problems and solutions for the traffic over sea and in the air.
