Brief Description:

This seminar will be a timely opportunity to discuss the priorities for infrastructure investment in Wales. It is scheduled as the Welsh Government prepares for the annual update for the Wales Infrastructure Investment Plan for Growth and Jobs and following the announcement of additional capital funding in the UK Governments Autumn Statement. This conference will bring together senior policymakers - including the Secretary of State for Wales with key stakeholders including businesses, construction companies, telecommunications companies, banks, trade unions, local authorities, transport companies and lawyers.

Who should attend:

Delegates will examine both planned and potential new infrastructure projects in transport, including rail, roads and the future for Cardiff airport as well as for super-fast broadband and renewable energy. The role of infrastructure development in wider economic policies such as Enterprise Zones; Local Growth Zones and the implementation of the 2012 Haywood Report on City Regions will also be discussed as well as steps that can be taken to increase inward investment for Welsh infrastructure projects.
